Itinerary

Day 1Transfer to Kibale National Park

After morning breakfast drive to Kibale National Park via Mityana-Mubende. Enjoy the drive through these beautiful scenic and beautiful regions before reaching the land of beautiful Batooro people that lies within this vast tea plantation of Tooro Kingdom. These buzzling endless green dotted tea plantation gives you a fantastic view for the best travel memory with stop over for lunch at selected restaurant/lodge in Fort Portal Town. Before proceeding to Kibale National Park check in at the lodge for overnight.

Day 2Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park

After early morning breakfast drive to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing to get set to go and meet the chimpanzee in the forest. Kibale forest is regarded as the playground of the chimpanzees and it is one of the few remaining areas of rainforest in Africa and offers the visitor the high percentage of viewing the 600 chimpanzees that rest in its tree canopy. The tracking starts at 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and lasts 2 – 5 hours. You will go through this ritual accompanied by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Ranger Guides and being the highest Africa diversity at the primates in Africa and famously known as the primate capital of the world. After tracking drive back to the lodge.Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3Morning Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast drive to Kasenyi plains for a classic African safari experience. Enjoy photograph opportunities and the Rwenzori Mountains set against the back drop of jagged wildlife viewing, herds of Uganda Kobs, and prides of Lions, Guinea Fowls and huge Elephants striding across the game tracks. Drive to Kasenyi crafts village, enjoy the Crater Salt Lake view below Kichwamba escarpment and Lake George the famous bird sanctuary.
Afternoon Boar Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Drive to the lodge for lunch and proceed to Mweya Peninsula for boat ride along Kazinga Channel; the oasis for the fascinating species that inhabit the park. It gives a chance to cruise just meters from hundreds of enormous hippos and buffaloes and water birds as elephants stride and linger along the banks or shoreline. Mweya is Queen’s focal point; jam-packed with birds and animals. Just sit back with your camera and binoculars ready; and enjoy the incredible spectacle. The cruise takes two hours. Drive back to the lodge via Katunguru gate, for overnight.

Day 4Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Visit Igongo Cultural Center

Visit the Cultural Centre with collections of different attractions where the future meets the past. Visit the Igongo Cultural Museum and see the exhibits of the south western culture and her neighboring kingdoms and many others.

Day 5Moring game drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise in Lake Mburo National Park

After morning breakfast drive to Lake Mburo for game drive for the best photograph opportunities in search for big herds of elands, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, Baboon and best scenic view rapped in the rocky outcrop, acacia woodland, savannah and perfect birding experience and colorful birds, displaying and posing for the photos. Drive to the selected restaurant Hotel for lunch before proceeding for afternoon boat cruise.

After lunch proceed to the two hours boat cruise in search for the specials of Lake Mburo this cruise will give you an opportunity to photograph shoebill, airs of enormous fish eagles, hammerkops, Giant kingfisher, African finfoot, crocodiles and hippos with fantastic view of the lake reflected with marshy vegetation and drive back to the lodge afterwards.

Day 6Transfer to Kampala & Water Experiment at Equator

After breakfast transfer to Kampala along this route Mbarara-Masaka dry corridor, the drive along this route is amazing and impressive by the remarkable scenery that unfolds in sight. The Lowlands and Grassland savannas gradually give way to the cascading hills that seem never to end. You also enjoy the indigenous long horned Ankole Cattle in their land of milk and honey.

Water Experiment at the Equator
Uganda is one of the few countries that are traversed by the Equator, the imaginary line that divides the Earth into two equal halves. This point is about 72 Kilometres south of Kampala along the Kampala – Masaka Highway. At this point there are two circles made of concrete marking the equator line which is worth stopping for.
